I recently had a good conversation with an old Finnish women who had been living abroad for many many years.

According to her, all the elders in Finland are pushed into hospices to stay out of the way and wait for the death to arrive, whereas in many other countries the importance of their healthiness, both physical and mental, is above all the unnecessary material abundance of the modern society.

I couldn't agree more.
