Modern Concepts of Childhood

I believe everyone remembers their own childhood, the very special age span before adolescence.

To me it seems like we're purposefully shortening this blithe period in life by forcing kids towards adultness faster, faster and faster.

I'm not sure where this trend will take us in the future, but I'm foreboding some radical changes in stress endurance and thereon in general happiness of us all tomorrow.
