The Be Good Tanyas - Waitin' Around to Die

This Is Me Moving

in Barcelona

It’s been long since the last post, but there’s been a lot going on lately.

First of all, I’m moving to Berlin this month, which I’m really looking forward to.

Secondly, Lasse, the M3 I named after my grandpa, has been great, but my scanner’s dead. I bet Germans can help me with that.

And thirdly, I’ve been working with projects like the Time Based Arts website.

⟳ The Be Good Tanyas cover of Townes Van Zandt’s Waitin’ Around to Die is probably my current favourite song of all. Can’t wait around to hear it.

    Hi Jere!

Nice web! Are you a developer? RoR?

Why are you moving to Berlin? Tired of Barcelona? ;)

And one last question, did you use a scanner film? I'm thinking in buying one... my film workflow is a bit slow (develop film, then paper and then scanning...)

Hi Gil! And nice to hear from you again :)

Yes, I'm a RoR guy! Lovin' it. Are you one too?

Berlin's been on my mind for long and things (read: gf) just turned out the way that now it is a good time for it too! Let me know if you ever pay a visit.

I have an Epson V500, that I actually like of, but spanish electricity killed its transformer :(

Sorry for the late answer. No, i'm not a RoR guy :P i work with PHP (trying to use it well, symofny2) :D

Thanks for the explenation, and sure, if I'll come to Berlin, i'll send a mail ;-)

And about the scanner, i still don't know what to do. I've been looking and reading about some scanners. One of them is the V500. But i think is expensive for an scanner "old", Do you thing it worth it? In amazon it's about 190 euros...

Again, good luck and i enjoy Berlin!!

I used to work with PHP too, but I'm glad for the switch!
Well the V500 is clumsy, but they're all, aren't they? I use the VueScan software, which is pretty much mandatory for me nowadays. If it's not the transformer that's broken after all and I have to buy a new scanner, I'll definitely see if there's any other options than V500...
